Insomnia...

 Posted by Picasa

I dreamt,
lived a make-believe life,
based on my dream.
I was hopeful,
it would take shape and
breathe a life.
I talked about it.
I thought about it.
I covertly wrote about it.
I was nearly obsessed.
It was everything to me.

To the unfortunate,
life’s a nightmare,
and dreams are merely dreams.
It's been two years.
And only now I realize
am unfortunate.
Am shattered.
Disconsolate.
Heart broken.

It’s 0127 hrs.
I refuse to sleep,
for fear of dreaming.

i know not what to say....

robert frost comes to my mind ...

"The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep. "

Convince your mind that you really don’t want to sleep, that you want to stay up to finish a book or complete a task. Your mind may be so intent on not giving you what you want that reverse psychology may just do the trick!
Have a gud night sleep,Somu!!

Wow coincidence! We both wrote about dreams! Freaky stuff! Haha, all I can say is good night and sweet dreams! The dreams you should be scared of are not dreams they are nightmares!
Make your dreams reality, make your nightmares dreams...

Hey Somu!!! Do we have to feel unfortunate at the same time?? Freaky, haan? Even I'm scared of dreams now. But that was really a beautiful account and a genuine thought flow.

PS: Lovely heart! But its broken. Lemme bandage it for you.

Ashish,
So are you comparing my work with that of Robert Frost's... Thanks a lot dude ! That's more than what I can ask for ;o)

Ganga,
The issue is not about falling asleep. I start zzzing the moment I want. It's about dreaming. But your reverse psychology is a good idea. I am sure I can make use of it sometime soon.
Thanks dude !

Ram,
You are right. Distractions from what is troubling us helps a lot. I normally indulge in music, or write a poem about the whole situation. End of it, I start appreciating my poem, and totally forget the source of inspiration. And this time around too, it helped.

Nithya,
Thanks... The last poem I wrote was sometime during FEB... and I am glad my losing hope gave me yet another oppurtunity.

Preethi,
Yeah. Infact my comment on your post was in similar lines. Looks like you got into my psyche and got to know about what I was gonna post. Hmmm... This is no good ;o)

J,
Welcome back... Guess its been quite sometime. It's a long story... How do you think I can start filling you up ?

Sonu,
Aww the feeling of misfortune lasts only for a little while, though it does keep coming back every now and then.

The heart maybe broken, but still intact ;o)
